Since 1998, the Evangelical Association for Sustainable Development has been operating in the lending sector across Minya Governorate, focusing on youth and women. Recently, the Association has also prioritized green financing. It received institutional upgrading to Category B, licensed by the Financial Regulatory Authority under No. 1180. The Association works in partnership with multiple entities in the field of microfinance. The lending products include:
“Women Empowerment” Loans: Interest rate of 14%, up to EGP 25,000.
“Takaful and Karama” Beneficiaries Loans: Provided after administrative and technical training, 5% interest, focusing on persons with disabilities (Karama beneficiaries), up to EGP 50,000.
Green Financing for recycling projects: Provided after training at the “Arous El-Saeed” Business Development Center, 14% interest, focusing on women entrepreneurs.
Seasonal Loans for Small Farmers: Crop insurance product against climate changes, 8% interest, up to EGP 150,000.
Micro-Enterprise Loans for Youth: 24% interest, up to EGP 266,000.
