Who We Are

The Evangelical Association for Sustainable Development (EASD) in Minya was established in 1990 under registration no. 1050, originally under the name “Evangelical Charity Association.” It was founded by members of the Second Evangelical Church in Minya to serve as the church’s social arm. With nearly 30 years of experience, the Association changed its name in 2002 to become the “Evangelical Association for Sustainable Development in Minya” and obtained its legal status adjustment in 2022

EASD is a pioneering organization in civil society work, delivering comprehensive intervention packages that enable communities to withstand challenges and meet their basic needs in order to achieve social cohesion.
Mission:
We strive to continuously develop ourselves, institutionalize our programs, and expand our work both sectorally and geographically to serve the most vulnerable and marginalized groups, reintegrating them into society. Our aim is to foster a thriving community that is more resilient to challenges, more aware of its rights, capable of meeting its needs, achieving its goals, and sustaining its development gains.
We pursue this mission through integrated development interventions, building on our extensive experience in civil society work in Minya, robust institutional systems, and close engagement with target groups.
